Vox Musica celebrates the season at Southminster United Church, Saturday, Nov. 30. Their holiday show also features the Aeris Brass quintet and U of L Incanto Singers. The music begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Casa for $25. Children under 12 get in for free.
And you can’t have Christmas without “The Nutcracker.” So check out Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society’s production of the popular Yuletide ballet at the Yates Theatre, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
Tickets are $25.20, $28, $32.25 and $38. The production begins at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 29 and 30, plus there is a 2:30 matinee on Dec. 1.

Tickets are $10. Good Times opens December with a special presentation by magician/ comedian Wes Barker on Dec. 1. He performs at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
The Slice goes folk on Friday with Marco Sylver, Trevor Christinansen and Emily Rose performing.
The Owl goes local with indie rock band the Utilities and Jon Martin’s new project, Jon Martin and the Lovers, playing on Friday. It is all about pop punk on Saturday at the Slice with Calgary’s Homeless in Hawaii, Saskatchewan first nations indie rock band The Reckless Famous and local bands the Waterfront and King Dylan.
